I went to the 9/11 site in October ...I was with the American Red Cross and worked at the Respite center right at the WTC site. We were not aware of the extreme danger of breathing the air ...I did my best to wear the little mask for protection but was unaware that the dust on our cloths could harm us.....In Oct5ober 2008, after several unusual bouts of pnemonia I was surgically tested and am now being treated for Mesothelioma.......I believe this is due to the dust and containated air that we as workers were breathing every day for the 2 months I was there.I believe many people must have cancers of some form or another from working there. I hope it goes down in history how NY has ignored our serious situations.
